Read This Before You Loose Everything!

One selling technique is the use of “loss aversion”, this is how it is used and its psychological trigger.

If I was selling you something  and I convincingly made the case for a REAL loss you might experience in the future, and showed that my product could spare you – you would be HIGHLY motivated to buy it because of “loss aversion.”

One of the strongest psychological triggers is “loss aversion”  the tendency people have to strongly  avoid a loss rather than acquire a gain.   We have seen this in the stock market where a report from over seas stated that Coke was not selling as well as usual. That one report about one foreign market tiggerd major sell offs not just in the soda market but in many totally unrelated markets.

Some phycological experiments suggest that losses are TWICE as psychologically powerful than gains.  I believe it.  That’s the trigger Iused in this blog post headline.
If you opened it and read it right away, you’ve personally felt this powerful psychological effect yourself.  Without even knowing what it is you stand to lose, you IMMEDIATELY pay attention when you think you stand to lose *something*.

Affiliate Marketing There Is Money

If you truely beleive their is no money in affiliate marketing get the record straight there is a lot of money to be made.

November 2008 retailers that attract a lot of discount and coupon code shoppers are seeing their affiliate programs drive a larger percentage of overall sales volume. At least that’s what is happening at Petco. Stacey Georgoulis, Petco’s Affiliate Manager was just featured in an Internet Retailer article and had this to say:

Affiliate marketing driving higher share of sales at Petco

“Affiliates are a higher percentage of our sales than in past years,” Georgoulis says. “This is most likely due to the current state of the economy, which has resulted in a high consumer interest in discounts, coupons, rewards and points programs, all of which are big drivers in our affiliate marketing initiatives.”

Though Petco’s affiliate program consists of about 1,500 publisher sites, its top-producing affiliates, about 2% of the total, account for about 85% of all affiliate revenue, Georgoulis says.”What

a pile of unadulterated cow dung! Those who try to tell you that affiliates can’t make a living online:

If you have not tried affiliate marketing or have gotten ripped off, miss guided or confused know this does not need to be your plight. What you need is the right Internet business plan or a program with the right information to get you on the path to success. What you do not need is someone getting wealthy on your dollar and not sharing the wealth. There are Conventions regularly held and attended by thousands of people that usually charge big bucks and there numerouse online as well as off line magazines devoted entirely to the subject of affiliate marketing.

Entire affiliate networks such as Commission Junction, Linkshare and Double Click Performics exist for the

purpose of bringing merchants and affiliates together.

There are THOUSANDS of merchants with affiliate programs.

Overall, 51 percent of the top 100 Web sites operate some type of affiliate program. Be Free, Commission Junction and LinkShare are places to find affiliate products. ClickBank is a good place to start if you want to begin and then go into the more advanced types of affiliate marketing. With Be Free, Commission Junction and LinkShare affiliate programs you will need to develope your own website. ClickBank is an affiliate program that a number of top affiliates use to train people as they are an open opportunity. Some of these other companys require xxxxx number or more coming to your website before you are excepted.
Top affiliate marketer Ewen Chia Super Affiliates, Michael Cheneys Affiliate Millions, 1stPromotion Pro2 ClickBank® Web Mall or The Super Affiliate Handbook written by Rosalind Gardners who is a affiliate with vey lucrative sites are all good places to get a firm foundation and on your way to online profits and wealth.

Find Joy in the Holidays

As Internet Marketers it is very easy to get wrapped up in are online business and forget Christmas only comes once a year so here is some advise I was sent .

The holidays are such a busy time for anyone in the business of selling gift merchandise.  Not only do you have your own business to worry about, you’ve got all the usual stresses of family get-togethers, gift-shopping, and so on that come with the season.

Still, it’s important that you find some joy and relaxation in the holidays.  Here are a few tips to help with that, courtesy of WebMD.com:

* Keep your expectations modest. Don’t feel like your holidays are supposed to measure up to some TV Christmas special ideal.  Instead, accept and enjoy them for what they are.
* Do something different. Are you dreading the same ol’, same ol’ holiday routine? If so, try something different. Spend Christmas day at the movie theater. Get your family to agree to skip gifts and instead donate the money to a charity.
* Forget the unimportant stuff. Don’t run yourself ragged just to live up to holiday tradition. If you didn’t get all the lights up this year, or if you’re not serving Christmas dinner off the special plates your Aunt Rose gave you, so what?
* Volunteer. Consider taking time to help people who have less than you. Try volunteering at a soup kitchen or working for a toy drive.  This is a sure way to make the holidays a truly meaningful experience.

My Three Success Principles

These success principles shared by MaryEllen Tribby, CEO & President
Early to Rise are ones for all Internet Marketers need to take into consideration.

First let me introduce MaryEllen Trbby she runs a $25,000,000 company, raises three small children, travels around the world, and manage a household. Essentially, people want to know howI does she do it all! Here are her keys to success=

My Three Success Principles

Step #1 The Right Attitude!

Charles Swindoll is famous for his writings about attitude and one of the things he talks about is the fact that attitude can make or break a company, a church, a home…or an individual. He emphatically teaches us that we have a choice, every day, regarding the attitude we will embrace.

You can choose to win or choose to worry about winning – at everything. Your job, your health, your finances! Creating a positive attitude is not an accident – and not something that magically happens to you.

Of course, deciding to have a great attitude and making it happen are two entirely different things, aren’t they? Sometimes it takes support…more about that soon!

Step #2 Making the Right Choices!

We make hundreds of choices every day.

What do you choose?

  • Do you spend an hour working out so your heart can be healthy as you move forward in time or do you sit on the couch and read a magazine and eat pizza?
  • Do you choose to spend an hour watching your favorite reality series or will you read a great book, meditate or attend a yoga class?
  • Do you spend money on yet another fleeting leisure activity or on an educational program whose information will last you a lifetime?

I like to ask this question before each decision I make:

“What will be the impact of this choice in two weeks, two months, and two years from now?”

Step #3 Developing the Right Relationships!

Everyone here on the ETR staff knows that I can accomplish a LOT in one day. Pretty much anything I set my mind to – and part of what makes that possible is the people I surround myself with – personally and professionally.

Having people in your life who are committed to your success is absolutely essential to realizing your greatest potential. People who:

  • Support your dreams
  • Have the knowledge and wherewithal to guide and mentor you through tough decisions
  • Show you areas where you may have a blind spot or tunnel vision
  • Empower you to achieve all that you want in life

Setting Goals To Profit In 2009

Just read today’s copy of Early To Rise and I want to share this one article with you. Setting goals and completing them has been proven to be the number one reason people get ahead this is true in business and in life. As an Internet Marketer wither you are experienced or a newbie you will find some very usable information in their news letters and you can joint them  for free you will find the link at the end of article.
”The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don’t define them, or ever seriously consider them as believable or achievable. Winners can tell you where they are going, what they plan to do along the way, and who will be sharing the adventure with them.”

Denis Watley

What Makes an Entrepreneur?

By John Carlton

A few weeks back, I visited my hometown (yeah, I grew up in Cucamonga, what’s it to ya?) to see my family. Pop still lives in the same house he bought just after WWII, and it’s hard for me not to feel like I’m 15 again when I’m there.

Not that I feel all young and vibrant. Naw. More like I get back in touch with how freakin’ clueless I was for the first half of my life.

It was a great childhood, a gruesome adolescence, and even now ghosts from my past haunt every corner of the neighborhood.

Always interesting/spooky/insightful to go back to old stomping grounds. I love my family. And I’m still chewing over how that town shaped who I am today. In fact, it got me pondering long and hard about what “makes” an entrepreneur.

A lot of people – including me – talk about the value of goals in launching any entrepreneurial venture. Figuring out what you truly want … setting a plan in motion to attain it … and following through.

There is, however, a difference between “understanding” goal-setting behavior … and actually DOING it.

So here is what I propose you do this weekend: Give yourself a brutal reality check.

Are you spending enough time figuring out what you really want to do when you grow up?

This is not a trick question. Most rookie goal-setters need to refine their skills at this over a frustrating period of time.

The first goals you set are likely to be things you actually don’t want, after all. There is an art to looking deep into your own heart and soul and coming to grips with what REALLY rocks your boat … and what will continue to make nice waves in your future.

It’s never enough to want to be “rich.” You must spend time thinking about what “rich” means to you. Not to your buddies or your colleagues or anyone else. You.

And if you decide you want to be filthy rich … well, you’ve got to do more than just set that as a goal. Ya gotta work out your plan to get there. With lots of little goals along the path.

If you’ve yet to make dime one online, for example, then a goal of becoming a billionaire online isn’t a goal … it’s a dream. You’ve got to earn your first buck. Then your second. And go on from there.

Your first goal may be to weed through all the info available out there … find the resources you feel you can trust … and dig in.

Those subsequent “dig in” steps – the actual goal-by-goal stepladder that will take you toward your desired destination – cannot be glossed over.

And there are consequences to consider. You may not yet know what awaits you as a cash-generating genius. But you sure can examine how your life starts to change as you go.

Every detail of your life can morph in strange ways when the money starts coming in. Your friends and family may wrestle (often unsuccessfully) with your rise in status, liquidity, and self-confidence.

It won’t always be pretty. But the more you “arm” yourself with insights like these, the less surprised you’ll be when you hit each milestone in your quest for a better life.

You’ll be … uh, what’s the word? … prepared.

Goals are great. But I’ve known too many people who ONLY set goals. They never go after them.

Movement is key. And you’ll feel better about moving toward your goals if you spend some serious time thinking about them.

Play with them. Mold them. Constantly put them through your “What if?” grinder. (What if you can’t do it with your first idea? Will you try again? Try something else? What?)

The “secret ingredient” of great goal setting is to cogitate obsessively on the consequences of actually meeting each goal once you set it. This not only helps you blow through failure … it also creates a “vision” of yourself that keeps your motivation hot.

This requires “forward thinking” … which doesn’t come with the default equipment you’re born with. Ya gotta exercise it.

Without goals, you’re just being taken for a ride by Fate.

Goals do not guarantee anything … except, once you take steps to attain them, you will move SOMEWHERE new in life. And you’ll be doing as much of the driving as possible.

Fate will still screw with you. But you’ll no longer be helpless.

At first, even five minutes of focused “forward thinking” will make you sweat and want to go do something else.

Get over it. Stick with it. Soon, you’ll be an ace at peering into the fog down the line, and you’ll be able to exert more control over events than you ever dreamed possible in your pre-goal-setting days.

This weekend, get your five minutes in. Move through the sweat and avoidance.

Jumpstart something new.
